Religious Education for Children
We conduct our religious education program as the St John-St Joseph Catholic Collaborative … two separate parishes sharing a pastor and collaborating in our ministry to all parishioners.

Working together our program is held at St. John’s and provides faith education to parishioners of all ages. Each parish brings its own gifts and talents to this program. Many of our families are already neighbors, attend the same schools, and participate in the same activities. This is an opportunity to share faith experiences that are so important in building strong families.

Our Faith Formation Program is an essential part of the mission of our parishes. The goal of our program is to form our children to be disciples of Jesus Christ, capable of living life with Catholic-Christian values. Our program is rooted in family attendance at the celebration of Sunday Mass where each of us draws strength from the Gospel and the Eucharist.

We value our parents as the first and most important educators in their child’s faith development. Each year we review our program listening to our parents, teachers, clergy, and parishioners. Working together we continue to strive to develop programs that involve families in the faith education of our children. Our parishes also reach out to all family members to provide education and sacrament preparation.

Adult Faith Formation

Thinking About Becoming Catholic?

If you’re curious about the Catholic faith or have thought about becoming a Catholic, our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is just for you. Adults from all faith traditions, no religious background at all, and baptized Catholics who were not raised in the Catholic faith are invited to participate. The RCIA journey incorporates faith, instruction, conversion, liturgy, and community. We welcome you to join others while learning about the beauty of our Catholic faith.
